Christmas Morning

This year Christmas seemed very relaxing. I don't know if it was the kids getting a little older or what but, it was so nice. Santa brought the girls their favorite hand held game systems and they each played with those forever. They didn't even look up for probably 45 minutes and then Camilla finally said, "Can we open the other gifts?" So we did and they loved everything. Thank you Curtis, Shandy, Dexter and Mom and Dad Clark, all the gifts were so nice. The girls had such a fun day. Kim fixed a big breakfast and then we just layed around and enjoyed the day. It was a wonderful Christmas.

Alex and the Opossum

We have a killer dog named Alex. He loves to growl and bark at everthing that comes by the house or he sees in the back yard. Christmas Eve we let him out because he was going crazy about something in the back yard. Michael and Patrick were watching him in and it was obvious he had indeed found something. So, they ran out there and here is this Opossum. Michael was trying to get close to it and Patrick went up behind him and yelled and scared Michael so bad he jumped a mile and the opossum hissed at Michael. It was pretty funny. We made our killer dog Alex go inside for fear the opossum might bite him.

The Big Surprise!

On
Christmas Eve Michael & Patrick went and got Melissa (some of you may not know Melissa, who is 10 years old has pretty much lived with Kim & Michael since she was 2 years old). Anyway...they brought her back to our house. Kinsey had made up this scavenger hunt for the girls to do throughout the house. They were blind-folded at the end. Then a big sign was brought out and they took off there blind-folds. It read "You are going to Disney World". It was so exciting to see how excited they were, especially Melissa because she has never been and I don't know when she will have the chance to go again. The explanation for the big surprise was all do to their uncle Kent. He had some money from when he sold Clay's car. Clay wasn't much of a givng person, but he always bought gifts for Courtney and Camilla. I can't explain how much he loved those girls. Anyway, Kent wanted to do something special for the girls from Clay this Christmas, and lets face it...it's been the worst year of our life. So, it was so fun to see such excitement in their little eyes. And of course, Kent did not want to leave Melissa out so he is flying her there as well. Some gift huh! Kent's awesome.

Gift Exchange at Wal-mart

We did something a little different this year to change things up. We decided instead of just drawing names, we would go to Wal-mart, draw a name, and in 5 minutes you had to pick a gift for that person and only spend $20 plus tax. It was really fun. We all had our Christmas pj's on and we looked like total freaks, but we were in Wal-mart...and you always find them there anyway!

Monday Night Football

Monday we all got dressed up (Some of us more than others) and went to the Colt's game against the Cincinnati Bangles. It was a great game the Colts won easily, but I have never, and I mean never been to a crazier game in all my life!! We were in the cheap seats at the top, which were still $100 a piece, surrounded by Bangles fans, loud-drunk Bangles fans. At one point I had to trade places with Kim because she literally almost kicked the crap out of this obnoxious chick sitting in front of us. It was hilarious. We had security up at our section four different times for fighting, fans throwing things ect.. I had more fun watching all the intoxicated fans around us more than I did the game. I'm sure they all had designated drivers for the ride home. Right!! I will never bring my girls to a football game ever. I heard the f-bomb enough that night to last a lifetime. I don't think Kim will be attending anymore Colts games in the future, as for me, I'll be back next year.

Courtney's Big Debut

Courtney was asked to be in the local Sugar Creek Players Vanity Theatre this weekend. She sang a solo of "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus". She did awesome. We were so proud of her.

Camilla's Hair Cut

Camilla got about 5 inches cut off her hair this week. She was so excited. As you can see she is not shy.

More Ugly Sweaters!

Here are some more pics of the Christmas Party. My aunt Jean came down from Muncie so we had her come along to the party. She had a sweater, but it wasn't ugly enough. So we hot glued stuff all over the front. And then I thought... a licked candy cane would be perfect right on her shoulder. So, Kinsey had to work that night (She is an optician at the Walmart Optical Lab) so our family all went into Walmart dressed up to see her. This lady came by Jean and said, "Excuse me Ma'am, I just wanted you to know you have a candy cane stuck to your shoulder." It was so funny. The poor lady was embarrassed...which we should've been. Anyway...Which sweater do you think is the ugliest?

Ugly Sweater Christmas Party

Ok... every year a group of us in our ward have an adult Christmas Party. This year the theme was wear your ugliest sweater. Well, of course Michael and I couldn't stop at that. We made a trip to Goodwill and Michael ended up with the whole outfit. Does it look like anyone to you? Anyway "Uncle Eddie" and I with my stirrup pants and dog sweater won the prize for the ugliest sweaters. It was a great time! Of course my sister Kelly had to try on one of the white elephant gifts for everyone! I don't know how we are related! Just kidding Kelly...I love ya!

Gingerbread House!

Having girls in the house they love doing all the baking and fun Christmas stuff. Tonight our Ward had a Nativity Open House for the community (which I should have taken a picture) with a variety of Nativitys on display for people to come look at. After the Open House then people can stay for the Christmas Broadcast. We went early and enjoyed the Open House and then came home and made a "small" gingerbread house and then watched the broadcast from the comforts of home on satallite. It was a good evening.

Camilla's Gymnastics

I had the camera with me and decided it was a good opportunity to share a couple of pictures of Camilla at Gymnastics. I don't think I was ever quite that flexible...and Michael can't even sit Indian style...so we know she didn't get it from him!!

Grandma & Grandpa

Courtney and Camilla enjoyed decorating the Christmas Tree with Grandma Clark, while Kim put up decorations around the house. We had a good time while Carl, Michael, & Greg went to the movies. Thank goodness we got those boys out of our way! We miss Grandma & Grandpa Clark so much already!!

More Lights!

Thank you Carl for making my Christmas complete with lights on the house. Michael needed a little motivation to do it, but he finally got into it...thanks to Carl! Love, Kim

Colts Game

Pat and Carl got to experience the Hoosier Colts Fan Club. There was yelling and cheering and lots of junk food to eat. The Clark's, Price and Priebe's are true Colts Fans. Pat and Carl were troopers through all the yelling and even putting on a t-shirt to support the team.

We suck at blogging

We took the girls to the children's museum, they loved digging for dinosaur bones.
I finished off the back porch project with a sidewalk to the garage.
I thought Courteny looked so grown up in this picture.
