Update!!!

Ok. As usual...we have been running around like crazy and Carl has called with threatening words because he wants an update.

So here we go....

Here is Louise and his helper finishing the drywall.

Then...

Kim left for Stake YW Girl's Camp for a week.

Can you figure out where Kim is in this picture?

Our Theme for Camp this year was Inspiration Island..."Treasure the Truth"

On our Bishop's night we had a Luau. This is me and my friend, Candis, who was the camp specialist for Crawfordsville. We had a good time!

For our service project we went to the Lafayette Humane Society and did whatever service we could do for them. However I refused to do what this girl was doing....

This is sooooooooooo gross!

Ok...so Kim gets home from camp on Friday and Michael is patiently waiting for her to come home to start painting!! So, Saturday morning we start the painting process.

Here is our family project priming everything.

So, here it is all primed and ready to go...but, it was only 4pm so Kim thought...what the heck... and went ahead and started putting the final paint color on. Michael was very concerned about Kim's color choice so he had to leave the room for a while. But, when he came back he liked it better.
Here is where her inspiration came from and her color scheme plan. (Maroon, Browns, Olive Green, Light Blues, and Black)
And Finally, our last work today was hangin up the ceiling fans and adding the electrical outlet covers. We had neighborly help from Kirk Allen, Joel Sommer, and Brother-in-law, Greg Price.

So there you go Carl!!!

So, I'm really ticked off because I spent over an hour putting all these pictures on the blog and you can't make any of them bigger to get a closer look. So...sorry! -Kim

We get the idea...thank you for updating (I forgot you were away at girl's camp!). We'll just have to check it out in person some time, eh?

Okay, I posted my first comment before I actually read the update. I'm going to need some pictures emailed to me so I can see them for realsies. sam.sweet@comcast.net

The room looks awesome! I can't believe how high the ceilings are! Spectacular....
So when is the flooring going to be done? I can't wait to see it in person!

The baseboard and window/door trim will be next, then we will work on flooring. We haven't picked out any carpet yet!

OK so I love the color, and I love it when people actually use color. It is the funnest thing. Curtis always gets scared of the colors I choose, but loves them. I am still trying to convince him we need an orange room somewhere.

I've never seen one of Kim's color choices fail yet! Looks great--have you picked out any furniture yet?

I LOVE the color! I want to do a kitchen that color. I'm excited to see the carpet and furniture in there too! Obviously we need to plan a reunion next summer at the Indiana Clarks house!

We finally found a huge wall entertainment center we both liked that was in the Urban View Broyhill collection and have discovered they have discontinued that collection. So...we are rethinking some furniture. Party at Indiana Clark's next summer sounds great!

Isn't it the best when you finish a project. Richard says it doesn't take me long to think up the next one though. Too true. Your room looks so good!
